When the two of us decided to visit abroad the two of us definitely knew that the two of us would have to be open minded when it came to some specific things. The language barrier was nothing compared to the fact that all of the food, lodging, and driving were completely foreign to us. I have regularly been a picky eater my whole life to begin with so Bangers and Mash were not something that particularly appealed to me and neither was the fact that all the beer was served warm. European countries actually have absolutely unusual cultural traditions and some of them made us downright weird and uncomfortable! One thing that the two of us l acquired along the way was the fact that apparently “cooling system”, meant a totally unusual thing to many. Several of the dozens of locales that the two of us stayed gave portable fans or high ceiling fans as their form of cooling instead of the a/c that the two of us were very much accustomed to. In fact, one of them had small bungalows with no windows in place at all because they wanted their guest to assume the fresh breeze. I personally accepted the two of us should have researched better before booking some of our accommodations. Sightseeing definitely was fantastic and the two of us were able to see many locales with breathtaking views each day. All of us assume that the experience, on a whole, was well worth the mass of money spent however the two of us were also thrilled to get back home where our entire HVAC system keeps us comfortable with perfect hot and cold temperatures. I will personally never take having a full HVAC system for granted that is for sure. I will also never accidentally book a trip without verifying that they have actual heat and a/c wherever the two of us will be staying. Lesson l easily acquired, and appreciate!
