So, I’ve made the choice to put an end to all of it once plus for all.
I have a feeling that come Monday there are going to be some irritated folks in my office. Yet, there will also be a faction of associates who are absolutely thankful that a point of such good contention is now entirely moot. There is an HVAC professional who is coming in Friday to take care of an office problem that has gone on for far too long. I own a small design firm with less than 20 employees. We task in a section that covers a single floor of a converted building. 40 years ago shoppers shopped this seasoned building for everything from turf mowers to shoes. Now, it has become a small office building. The layout allows for plenty of room plus a rather comfortable locale to work. However, there is only a single temperature control machine to control the heating plus cooling for the entire office. This is a source of heated arguments as co-workers attempt to dominate the control of the temperature. The amount of distress created over just a few degrees is just crazy. I often feel it’s less about the temperature than it is about control itself. And, with all the yanking on the temperature control unit regularly, the utility bills are getting way out of control. So, I’ve made the choice to put an end to all of it once plus for all. Friday night the HVAC pro will be ripping out the seasoned temperature control machine plus installing a current smart control unit. The current temperature control machine will manage the temperature based on patterns sensed from a number of sensors located around the office. I will have the only manual override. There will be no more fighting to get to the temperature control machine first.
